Sits nice and easy to operate
Not a triji but tries pretty hard! Looks good on a slide or a plate. Works well and keeps zero. You cant get better for cheaper.

Really solid optic, just one problem.
Very compact, very bright, solid battery life, feels very well made, and it's tough. I've had it for years, it's been on handguns and shotguns. It been dropped, slammed around, gotten wet, dirty, etc. Still holds zero and works like new.I have to only give 4 stars because of the button. It's very small and located in such a horrible location. It is extremely difficult to operate efficiently. You have to be very deliberate/forceful to operate it.I am generally not a fan of single-button brightness adjustment anyway (having to cycle all the way though every setting to get to where you want) but with this button being on the bottom front of the sight, you finger blocks the screen when making adjustments. This means you can't see through the dot while changing settings. To get it just right, you have to press it once, then look through it, then press it again, then look again, etc. and if you go to far you have to go all the way back around.I know this sounds nit-picky, and I suppose it is, but I just can't justify 5 stars with this feature. If the button was anywhere else I could give 5 stars.Otherwise, this thing is phenomenal for the price. If it's going on a range gun it doesn't matter if it takes a little bit to set it for your ambient lighting conditions. Buy it and enjoy. However, this is not a good option for a self-defense/combat pistol.

Much, much more than I was expecting
OK; first impressions count. The ADE sight arrived in a fitted foam package inside an attractive and very sturdy two-piece fiberboard box. This company obviously takes pride in their product.Included with the sight are: 1) a fitted rubber cap that covers the entire sight, 2) an Allen wrench for opening the battery compartment inside the base, 3) a screw driver for making sight adjustments, 4) a 1 3/8 inch dial that fits over the screw driver shaft for precise indexing of sight adjustments and 5) a cleaning cloth. The sight itself is very well made and well finished. It is SMALL -- about half the size of other reflex sights that I have encountered. It is STREAMLINED -- no protruding knobs or battery boxes of any kind [the combined on/off/brightness switch is a rubber covered push button on the front of the sight, below the window, and is invisible when shooting]. The sight mounts very low over the pistol's bore; just above the top of the front sight. All of this combines to provide an uncluttered view that encourages shooting with both eyes open.It took only about 30 seconds to mount the ADE sight to the rail on my Ruger MK IV 22/45 Lite. It comes off just as quickly and maintains its zero when remounting, provided you position it in the same cross slot. Sighting in at 20 yards required only a few minutes and two sight adjustments to center the group in a two inch bulls eye.Criticisms? Yes. The owner's manual is sketchy. e.g. It does not tell you the value of the graduations for the sight adjustments. And I would prefer a dot smaller than 3 MOA. The size of the dot precluded using a one-inch bulls eye for sighting in.Overall I really like the sight. It is small streamlined and clear. It is easy to use and has an adequate range of brightness settings. If it proves to be durable in the next month, or so, I will buy a couple more.Jim

Don’t trust it, looks good, fits good, is a toy
Looks to be of decent quality at first but noticed it seemed to drift after each small range session . Pulled screws, reset with blue loctite, next 10 round was a little high again. Less than 200 rounds of 9mm through and pulled it out today, dot is almost a foot high and 6-8x bigger than it used to be. This is not a trustworthy item for something you would want to depend on even a little. Airsoft maybe. Real thing this just isn’t there.I will try to file a warranty claim but this is 100% toy status going forward. It was worth a gamble, but this is a loss.

almost good
I bought 2 of these, one for a gsg 922 22lr and the other for beretta 45 acp. The 22lr was installed and function well, great target acquisition. The 45 acp cracked the glass and sent the green dot so out of position that the screws are useless now. For 45 acp pistol recoil, ADE is just not built to last.

It fits great on my Glock 17 Gen 3
Just went to the range today to try this red dot. I have to adjust it first and it went great. I've used around 400 rounds and this red dot did not disappoint me. I used 115 and 124 just to make sure this red dot will stay in place. I will definitely buy another one of this red dot soon.

A good value
For the money this is a 5 star, but if I take price out of it, its still a 4 star. I have one other dot sight and its a Hallosun on my carbine. This was my first try on a pistol to see if I like it. I put it on a Ruger Mkiv 22/45, which is blow back so there isnt a reciprocating slide. that is easier on the sight. It comes with two batteries and dust cover, that is rare.It made we realize I love them on pistols.I have shot 400 rounds in hot and cold and it still holds zero. Point of impact is accurate. Dot is clear and bright. Easy to install on a rail and looks expensive. Easy to adjust. For the money its excellent. What I dont like isadjustment screws seem cheap and too easy to turn that I lack confidence in the longevity but. Haven't had any issues howeverThe dot is picky about how you push the button to turn on or off. Cant confirm but I have had it turn off a couple times and I am not aware i ever pushed the button. Dont like where the battery is mounted. I wish it had auto off with shake-awake.It will stay on this fun gun, but for self-defense and exercising my 2A right I would opt for something a little better. dont get me wrong, its a keeper and I do NOT regret this purchase at all.
