Bought just recenlty due to over abundance of green algae in 40K pool. Have pebble tech so makes it a bit tougher to get algae spores out of the nooks and cranny's. Similar to others, tried blasting with chlorine and pool filtration, but still problematic. Tried this (3 gallons) initial dose and 36 hours later, boom! Much clearer! Seems to be more effective than other treatments. Will keep using as maintenance! Highly recommended.

The algae in our pool was really bad. We kept pouring more and more pool shock in and it would work for about a day. Bought a better pool pump and filter, and still we had algae build up constantly. We bought this Clorox Pool & Spa and after about 36 hours our pool was clear of floating algae, there’s no more algae build-up on the bottom, and our pool is a beautiful clear blue!!! Very happy!!!!!

Absolutely the best pool product I've ever used.I've had pools my entire life. Nothing took a green swamp pool with tadpoles in it to Crystal clear like this did.. And literally started turning within 20 minutes of usage.. Fully clear 12hours...I highly highly recommend this product to anyone with a pool they think they need to drain because it's so dirty... My husband swore we were going to have to drain it ...

I can't believe that for several years, I thought brushing off yellow algae every other day was a fact of life for certain pool owners, like myself. That due to our location, proximity to certain trees, and whatnot, that mustard algae was a fact of life. It is not folks, ever since I discovered this product, I am on cruise control. But you simply can't pour this thing in without rolling up your sleeves and doing some initial clean-up to allow the algaecide to work its best. This was my recipe.1. Scrub everywhere you see algae. You'll be shocking your pool after, but you want to scrub and clean so the chlorine can be most effective. Any spores that survive can respawn easily. So scrub, scub, scub!!2. Clean your filter good!!! Check your pump basket. The clear lid of my pump basket had yellow and green spots, that's algae... clean it!3. If you have an automatic pool filler. Take it apart and clean it, you'll be surprised at the gush of yellow cloudy water coming out.4. After cleaning up and busting up all the algae, double shock your pool. Whatever is your normal shock dosage, double it.5. After shocking, immediately apply the Clorox product. Follow the Clorox initial dosage for the algaecide & clarifier. They have two types of initial dosage, one where algae is present, and one where algae isn't. For me, of course algae was present, so I follow that dosage.6. Now, let the filter run for 24 hours. I let mine run at 2000 rpm. My pool is about 13k gallons.7. That's it... your pool will be sparkling the next day, and here on after, you just need to maintain your pool as you normally do, but with the addition of the clorox algaecide + clarifier WEEKLY dosage. The weekly dosage is much less than the initial dosage. For me, a bottle will last me FOUR weekly dosages.It has been about 6 months now, and I've been on auto-pilot. I haven't had to scrub any yellow algae from my walls. Understand that before this product, simply cleaning my filter and shocking DID NOT work. The algae would come back a week later. I always thought these types of products are a waste of money. That all I needed to do was clean my filter and shock, and if that didn't work, then algae was simply a fact of life for where I live. I was wrong!!! This is a supplementary product you need to battle algae, and it 100% works. I was expecting to still scrub normal non-yellow dirt and debris off my walls, but as it turns out, there is no such thing as "normal" dirt and debris. Turns out the algae spores were the reason why dirt and debris would stick. So you either have yellow walls, or clean walls, there's no in between. Debris shouldn't be sticking when you have no algae. Scrubbing yellow spots from my pool every other day was a fact of life for me, for a couple of years. Not anymore. 5-Stars.

Works! I've read the reviews and some not so great. My tip based on research, add a pack of shock when using this product. I kept the pool crystal clear all summer. We traveled for 2 weeks and it rained a lot when gone. Came home to a green pool filled with leaves and debris. My son was in charge and didn't even run the filter. This didn’t work as well as I had hoped. I have a small pool, 12’ x 24”. It wasn’t terribly green, but enough that I didn’t want to go in it. The Clorox made it somewhat better, but not clear and it still had algae. I put a whole gallon in less than 3000 gallons of water. Either that wasn’t enough? Or it just didn’t do what I had expected. And yes, I ran the pump and cleaned the filter and swept it, a bunch of times 🙁
