I make wine and do some home distillation, so it was nice to have a food safe bucket that is easy to clean so that it does not keep the smell of whatever I last put in it. No soap, just clean with hot water and a plastic brush or scrubber. The seal is constructed well enough to keep out the bugs and to keep and almost perfect distillation process with almost no sugar left when I made shine. 5 gallons of wine is perfect enough to make a case of wine, a case of sparking wine and enough to hold the right amount of mash to make this purchase more than worth your while. The tops are perfect for annotating what it in the bucket and when it was put in there. GREAT VALUE!

I am a Master brewer for a cidery and use these to produce small proof of concept batches. They work great and I strongly recommend to those brewing cider, wine, or beer in batches of around 6 gallons. My only complaint, and what holds this back from being a 5 star product is the fact that the lids provided are intended for single use applications. While it is easy just to reseal with the same lids, it is clear the people who put this product together did not do their research to get lids that don't require a pull off tab and instead bought standard culinary lids, slapped their logo on it, and affixed a burp valve.

I used this for making wine and it worked perfect! The lid sealed air tight it had a little extra room compared to your average bucket so with 5 gallons of product you have ample head room to avoid it bubbling over during fermentation. And it has really useful scales on the side for alcohol volume.If I ever need another I will definitely purchase the same one.

Ordered this and a replacement. Neither came with an airlock as advertised.

I got this mainly because it's claimed to be BPA free. I don't have confidence in that claim but have no proof either way, that's not going to play apart of my review. The lid had a hole in it for the included vapor lock. But there was no seal, no rubber gromet or anything. Not that the lock does much but having a hole in the top definitely can ruin a batch of brewed goodness. Gotta knock it a couple stars, especially for this price.

I like the size and quality of this primary fermentation bucket. I also like all of the measurements on the bucket and the included temperature strips. The top is sometimes a pain to remove but overall very sturdy. I’m happy with my purchase. Would recommend.
