Q: Is there a special wY to wear these, I could hear everything

You have to stuff them in pretty far! People complain about the vacuum effect when you remove them but you just have to wiggle them as you pull the long stalk. My wife is a HORRIBLE snorer but I sleep like a baby with these in.

Q: Are these really foam or just soft plastic? Thank you

More like a soft plastic/silicone than "foam" but are just as soft as foam ones.

Q: There are no instructions on how best to use them. They caused a vacuum when taking them out. Can you help?

I have another similar pair that came with instructions, and are soft silicone and generally very good (although I do loose one half the nights). Awesome comfortable and sound blocking when done right...but must be soft medical grade silicone I think. The trick to avoid a big vacuum & to set them in right is to pull/lift the top of the ear upwards as you insert/remove with a quarter turn. E.g. for the right ear; use left hand to lift upper part of ear upwards (to open up ear opening a bit) & then insert with right hand, with gentle quarter twist motion. Let go. Do same to remove. This works with my other brand.

Q: Can I sleep sideways with these? The one's i have hurt my ears when sleeping sideways..

You would have to cut the ends off small enough to fit into your ears so they dont poke out. That would be the only way you could sleep on them sideways without hurting your ears. They are easy to trim.
