My niece and her husband live in a small apartment with very limited space and with all the toys received from both families, and all the relatives and friends they have run out of room. Unfortunately, I live over 3,000 miles away and therefore a ‘drop-over’ for a visit is not possible for me. Books take up a minimum of space, and since she is an avid reader she has ‘story-time’ with her children twice a day, afternoons and at bedtime, and furthermore she enjoyed the Dr. Seuss books from when she was toddler and never grew tired of his stories, even as she grew older.This is an ideal and universal gift for all children. No matter our age, these books are entertaining, and interesting for adults to read out loud with humorous tongue twisters, and sure to delight all girls and boys. I liked Dr. Seuss when I was reading to my daughters over 40 years ago. I forgot how ADHD they are! One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish makes my head spin, but it sure keeps my grandson's attention - until he passes out, probably because of all the characters. Great books for readers and little listeners.
