Huge Advantage for Cultivating and Minor Digging
I have many EGO attachments for the Power Head, and this one was a huge game changer. The area in this picture is 16x30 where we're putting raised planters. I didn't snap a picture before building the frame and laying the weed fabric, but this attachment helped me clear the grass and about 2-3" of dirt to get to a clean base to lay the gravel base. I am in the northeast, where you dig with a pick. This would have been absolutely miserable without this attachment. The tool easily attaches to the Power Head. As some others have said, the battery lasts a REALLY long time with this. I was using a 2.5AH and probably tilled for 2 hours straight on a charge. This had no issue digging through the turf. It took time, but it was much easier than trying to dig it out by hand.I also used it to dig a 6" deep trench about 30' long to run the plumbing lines up to the side of the house. I removed the two outer tines so I was working with a slimmer tiller. It dug in and made trenching so easy. Don't get me wrong - this is a bit heavy and it's hard, sweaty work, but it was 10x better than manually digging.I have been extremely impressed with so many of the EGO tools and attachments. If you regularly turn ground for a garden or have needs to do minor trenching, this tool makes it so much easier.

Excellent !
Very Impressed. I am a disabled vet in my 70's and last year prepping my raised beds was slightly more than just an effort - I needed a better way. - and saw this. It works fantastic ! The soil in the beds is a lot lighter than the flowerbeds., so it cuts through and turns it with ease. One battery has already turned eight beds., and still has half a charge left. [ I already had the power head unit.] I haven't used it on any other soil around the place - but for my raised vegetable beds it really made my prep-work very easy. Note: A little heavy, but the shoulder strap helps a lot. I highly recommend this cultivator / power head unit.

5 stars isn't enough. I get tired before the battery wears out.
I purchased this about a month ago and have edged at least 50 trees with lots of rocks, and an enormous flower bed full of ivy and old stumps. This has been worth it for the job it has already done, and it still runs great. On the medium-sized Ego battery it runs nearly forever. I'm in decent shape and my arms get tired before the battery runs out. I'm used to the blower or mower running out of battery within 15 - 20 minutes, but this tiller runs for seemingly several hours before I have to switch to another. I'm not sure I've ever used the mower battery (about 6 pounds) with this and ran out of battery. Due to the weight, I use the medium-sized batteries and change after more than an hour of work. This will bring up rocks easily. I am super surprised at how well it works in tough soil and the fact that it isn't using a lot of the battery is a mystery. I've owned 2 gas tillers, one that had counter-rotating tines that was a walk-behind mammoth machine, and I prefer this battery handheld one over that. Of course it doesn't get as deep as the trench-depth Husqvarna, but it blows away the other gas-powered walk-in-front machine I got from Lowes or Home Depot last year that lasted only 1 season. I'd give this more stars if I could. Definitely one of the best products I've bought recently. For perspective, I'm working in an area requiring about 250 bags of mulch. If you have time and stamina and want the convenience of electric and handheld, then this is perfect. I won't be going back to gas.

Pretty decent
Works better than I expected although you do have to apply a good amount of downforce to get it to dig down into the soil. But for a tiller that doesn't have wheels under it, it's pretty good for small gardens and doesn't take up much space in my garage. I use the small battery that came with the pole saw and it lasts longer than expected. I'd buy it again given the choice. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it takes a good amount of elbow grease to really get down in the ground.

Well worth the money
I have an EGO power head and this works well with it. I have a 10 by 50 foot garden and every spring I rent a tiller to loosen up the garden and plow under the growth. This tool will do pretty much the same thing albeit it will take a little longer. It saves me picking up the tiller and returning it as well as messing with oil and gas. I used it after I purchased it and I don’t have to hand weed the paths I create between rows I just use the machine to till it under. The only thing I would say is with the power head battery and this attachment it is quite heavy. I suggest that if you are adding this tool to your collection that you consider the backpack to lighten this combination. Does it work yes. Will it save you money , maybe if you rent a tiller like I did . Will it till to the same depth that a larger tiller does yes with a bit of patients. Is it more useful than a dedicated tiller yes you can get into areas that a larger machine can’t and can be used well into the growing season. Other advantages, there is no gas , oil and tune-ups to deal with. It is more manageable than a regular tiller. It is available at a moments notice. It has enough power to do the job

Surprisingly powerful
I had been eyeing the cultivator attachment for a long time but the price kept me putting it off. Finally bought it to use when putting in a new garden patch. Wow! I was skeptical it would not have enough power or wouldn't last long on the battery. I was wrong. It is a little heavy and you have to pull it towards you (opposite direction of where it wants to go) when cultivating for it to dig in, so expect a little work-out even in soft soils. My yard varies from a mix of light clay and soft topsoil and it was easily tilling down 2 to 3" deep on one pass. On the soft soil it goes deep and makes nice berms on either side. The battery lasts a long time, longer than when I am running the weed-eater attachment, which shocked me. It will kick back on tree roots and rocks larger than a small egg. This is a must have if you have a garden or beds. Saved a ton of time and energy I would have spent with a hoe, pick and shovel.
