This is great
We have two cats, and previously had two huge, uncovered, clean litterboxes for our flat. One of our cats is extremely picky, so we had to scoop after every single poop, even if only one litterbox was used. This meant that, while we were at work, if either pooped in a litterbox, this cat would pee all over the floor 2 hours later because he was mad at his own single poop from 2 hours ago. This litterbox has changed our lives.I did a lot of research on self-cleaning litterboxes before buying this. I had a spreadsheet and am fairly confident I researched every single major brand and option on the market, so I felt confident about this one. It's safe to say I don't regret it.Both of our cats took to this day one with few issues. Our picky cat is very large (nearly 6kg) and we were concerned about the size, but he doesn't care at all and has no trouble using it. I was also concerned about the safety for our tiny, very curious cat (about 2.5kg), but this thing is brilliant. It stops the cleaning cycle the second she so much as glances at it, so she quickly loses interest and she's always safe. It has no trouble detecting her very tiny paws on the edge, not even in the box directly. This thing cleans well. It has handled diarrhea with no issues. Use a high quality, fast clumping litter (we've been using World's Best Cat Litter - cannot recommend it enough). It's not as good as I've seen others say at handling smells, so I recommend throwing in some bicarbonate into the waste collection tray to help.Addressing some issues I've seen:-Frequency of changing the collection bag: This is true. The collection tray does not hold as much as they claim. That being said, honestly cats don't want you to leave it for that long, and changing the waste collection bag once every 5ish days (for two cats, one of which pees a lot) is still way better than scooping poop by hand 3x/day. It's also a fairly painless process.-Set up: This is also true, the set up was a nightmare and to get it to work we had to not only split out our 2.4Hz and 5Hz signals, we had to change the name and password of the 2.4 so it didn't have any symbols. Annoying but ultimately a one-time bother.-Waste getting stuck to the inside of leaking through the gaps: Neither has ever happened to us, could be an issue of using low-quality litter. Also, they provide extreme high-quality, strong silicone tap as an extra preventative measure for the leaking, so definitely use them.-The cleaning cycle wastes too much litter: This is the complete opposite for us. We were shocked at how LITTLE it's been using, we've been going through way less than our manual scooping since we don't need to change it as often! I think this might also be an issue of using lower-quality litter.-App not tracking usage: We've never had this problem. We set up a camera for the first few days (I was nervous about the safety for our smaller cat), and not only did it record every single usage, it even recorded when they were just sniffing around for 10 seconds or so. The only problem I've noticed is that the weight sensor, while generally accurate, isn't perfect - it fluctuates up to 0.5kg every day. This isn't really a problem for us as our cats are about 3kg apart, so it can always tell who they are, but I'm not sure it would work that well if your cats are the same weight. But this is a feature I'm personally not too fussed about.-Not being able to look at your cat(s)'s bowel movements daily (for health monitoring) - I genuinely don't understand this one. Yes, there is a feature where you can seal the waste bag without looking at it, but just don't use that then? If you want to check on this, just open the waste tray daily and take a quick glance, you'll be able to see everything. Totally a non-issue, I promise.Overall, this is cheaper and safer than other models, and better for a cat evolutionarily than enclosed styles. We love it so far and can't recommend it enough.

Life altering for me!
We have a cat who will refuse to use a litter tray if one of the boys has gotten to it first. This lead to a lot of issues with her urinating just outside box etc. To make things more difficult, I have become disabled since getting the cats and I’m not able to be scooping multiple times a day anymore. So after a lot of back and forth with the idea, I decided to bite the bullet and get the M1.It’s been up and running for about 3 weeks now, so I can’t talk to the longevity of it yet but as for its performance….All three of my cats took to it within 72 hours. 2 took to it straight away and then our covid kitten, who wasn’t socialised as well and is a bit skittish took a few days of watching the others and the cleaning process.3 weeks on they all use the M1 exclusively, despite still having access to a normal tray. My girl is no longer boycotting the litter tray (which was our biggest motivation for this purchase) and my house smells so much better for it!!Doesn’t track anymore than any other trays I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a few over the years. Open. Covered. Top entry etc. there are also guards you can get on Etsy in case you have a front of tray urinator or a particularly enthusiastic digger.Nice and quiet. You do hear the litter moving obviously but the machine itself is pretty quiet. With three cats we are changing the waste tray every 2-3 days (one of ours is on water retention medication though and drinks more and uses the tray more) but it’s such an easy task to change out, that it’s still so much easier than manual trays. I do find that it’s best to shake the waste basket and level it off once a day, just to prevent the sensors thinking it’s full, when it’s not.Unfortunately we can’t use bentonite litter, which I feel would be the best for this machine but sadly one of our cats eats clay litter due to his medical conditions. So we have tried a wood based clumping litter from Amazon and that’s working well. No smells from the tray. It does get a bit dusty and grubby around the bowl area but a wipe down with a wet wipe or a cloth and it’s great again. All in all, I love it, my cats seem to love it and it’s made life easier for us all round. And the most important thing, we no longer have to consider rehoming our beautiful girl to be an only cat, which we really didn’t want to do. I intend on getting a second M1 in the future.

Very pleased
I waited a long time to get a robotic litter tray, there’s almost too many options and finding one that ticked all the boxes took a while. I’ve now had this around 3 weeks and am very happy with it.We have two cats, one took to it immediately and is solely using it, unfortunately our other got putrefied of it when he saw it move and hasn’t warmed to it yet but that’s not a fault of the product just a potential risk if you have nervous cats. With the one cat using it, bags seem to last just over a week and it’s very economical in litter use. It’s remained clean and smells have got locked away well. The app is easy to use and syncs whenever your on WiFi, it can tell you the time and weight of the cat on entry and how long they stayed , you can assign cats to weight however I do find it’s not incredibly accurate on weighing the cats and certainly if you have more than one cat that are anywhere close in weight it will never be able to tell them apart. You can set cleaning interval times, from a smart setting whereby it cleans x minutes after use or just cycling through every hour or whatever it maybe. It tells you on the app the litter capacity level which I find accurate, it also says waste bin level but I’ve yet to see that say anything other than “normal” despite it then being full after the next use so I would say again that’s not to be relied upon.Overall I couldn’t really say much negative about it other than the minor annoyances mentioned above. It looks smart, operates well and if you’re concerned about safety seems good as the way it spins when cleaning, even if it malfunctioned would give the cat time to leave but obviously it has safety features so it shouldn’t move when a cats inside anyway.
