Okay so I confess that I probably didn’t NEED this book; I’m not exactly a beginner but I have followed Kate on instagram for some years and love basically everything she creates 😍 Looking through the book I realised how much she’s influenced my own work in combination with a few more of my favourite artists.The book itself is brilliant and beautiful. Kate does some of the best colour mixing and palette creations I’ve ever seen! The book has clear, easy instructional text and images to demonstrate. Full step by step processes on how she’s created some of her most stand out types of pieces plus full breakdowns of materials, paint colour names and techniques used, in addition to teaching the techniques too.You can’t go wrong with this book or artist and I’m so happy to be able to support one of my favourite independent creatives.Thank you Kate! 💖

I’ve been following Kate Rebecca Leach on Instagram for a while, and I’ve always loved her style of work - so when I found out she had a book, I had to get it!This has made art feel accessible and fun for me, not intimidating. It’s packed with beautiful visuals, simple techniques, and—most importantly—tons of ideas to inspire you to create your own unique artwork.

This is a beautiful book. It’s different from any other watercolour book I have. The colour palette is gorgeous and there are lots of lovely projects to do. It would be great for beginners as there are explanations about materials and in depth tutorials of lots of different techniques. The photography in this book is stunning. I’ve included photographs of some of my favourite techniques and projects. It would make a lovely gift for a beginner watercolour artist or paper crafter. Lots of videos can be found on the internet of people doing beautiful projects inspired by this book and author. I’ve very excited to see that Kate Rebecca Leach has another book coming out later in the year! I absolutely love everything about this book.

This is a wonderful watercolour book. The illustrations are bright, the projects are interesting, the instructions are very detailed and clear. You can make surprisingly good art following the book. I hope the author makes another book with even more projects. It would also make a beautiful gift for someone you love.

Super book with interesting, varied and well-illustrated projects. There is something for all tastes and levels and the abstract designs are especially good for anyone who doesn't have strong drawing skills because the beauty is created through patterns and embellishment using black, white and gold. The instructions are easy to follow and provide a good foundation to creating your own pieces.So many art books on the market (especially watercolour books) offer nothing new or original but this book, with a focus on abstract art, is refreshingly different and great fun.

I ordered this on a whim as I liked the cover! When it arrived it looked and felt good. Excellent quality paper and clear, concise information. I like it for the ideas when I lack inspiration and the fact that it is a book you can dip into and do a quick piece of art work when you don’t want to spend ages planning what to do.
