My cousin referred this switch sometime ago. I finally pulled the trigger and order it…the set up was super easy to connect 2 laptops to one key board and mouse has been a game changer on my desk set up….still working in progress on upgrading my monitor set up….but definitely pleased

Me había cansado de usar Flow de Logitech Options+, funcionaba cuando quería, según la red WiFi, si había o no VLAN, si estaba o no algún firewall activado. Bah, una complicación. Y además, tenía que cambiar de fuente de vídeo a mi monitor externo para usarlo en uno u otro ordenador. Miré opciones de KVM, y los de IOGEAR estaban bien reputados en las reviews leídas. Buscaba uno más barato, la verdad, pero cuando ví este con USB-C, pudiendo conectarlo a mi MacBook Pro al Dell Laptop del trabajo por ese medio, me pareció una buena alternativa y lo encargué.Al principio me constó hacerlo andar hasta fijarlo en 4 lane DP, y descargar una app de control del monitor para hacerlo funcionar a 60Hz (en 2 lane DP sólo funciona a 30Hz, inasumible!). Y a partir de ahí, todo va relativamente en orden. De vez en cuando, el teclado no funciona a la primera cuando paso de un equipo a otro, y también de vez en cuando, pero con menos frecuencia, el monitor se queda sin señal y hay que darle al botón del remoto del KVM 2 veces durante 3 segundo cada vez, para cambiarlo a 2 y luego 4 lane DP, y se recupera. En fin, no es lo mejor que esperaba, pero ciertamente hace su trabajo y me ha ayudado a trabajar con ambos portátiles compartiendo teclado, ratón y monitor.

Was hoping to use this with an M3 MacBook. Without power passthrough hooked up ( so no charging) I was able to get video and peripherals working. But1. switching back to the laptop from a second device the laptop could not be wakened ( had to open up laptop and wake with its built-in keyboard).2. If I connect 100w power to the passthrough port the video stream cuts out completely. No charging and no monitor until I disconnect the passthrough port. I am using the regular Mac 100w USB c power supply and cable. And the kvm to computer cables are the ones provided with the product.

So this is a great product, but it falls short in an age where virtually all laptops are powered via a USB-C port. I have two laptops that I want to use one monitor for. This fits the bill, mostly. The issue is that only one of the two USB-C inputs is powered to charge. That’s just silly. Especially for the price. Otherwise, it’s an excellent KVM switch.
