Purchased this with the hope of attracting and trapping gnats. It's been plugged in for 3 days and has trapped nothing!!! Waste of my money.

My daughter is constantly complaining about mostly small mosquitos in her bedroom and bathroom and frequently gets mosquito bites, so I thought this would be a great solution since she doesn't want chemicals used around her. There are no holes in any of our window screens so we think they just come in the back door every time it's opened and are attracted to her candles. We've had this trap plugged in right by the sink in her bathroom for over 2 months now and while it has been a good night light it has only gotten 3 mosquitos so far. The weather is colder now and there are far fewer insects, but she still sees some and uses a fly swatter. This seems like a great idea and I'm glad others have had more success than we have had.

I was surprised that this caught any bugs at all. It’s been about a month and a half and it’s only caught 3 bugs. Definitely not as effective as I’d hoped but it has done something.

I tend to get some little annoying flies in my kitchen recycling can and thankfully there is an outlet right above it. So far it's caught a few and I haven't seen any flying around so I'm pleased.The light is a bit brighter than the picture shows but it's not a huge issue. Seems to catch bugs best overnight when I turn all the other light sources off.
