It's not a 30-minute assembly but the instructions are better than most and all the parts were present and properly-identified. I'm a senior woman and I assembled it by myself. I enjoyed following the step-by-step instructions and only occasionally had to encourage two bolt holes to mesh. The instructions suggest you wear protective gloves and you probably should; it's metal, with sharp edges and close tolerances. I only ended up with one small blood blister. The finished product is sturdy and attractive, and the moving part moves smoothly. I think it's good value.

We absolutely love love love this pit. It is a lot of parts and a bit of time to assemble but it is really sturdy and well made. My husband and I are super happy with the purchase and it is exactly as advertised.

If you are in the mood to waste an entire afternoon assembling a Chinese erector this is an item for you with over 140 screws, washers, nuts and bolts. Make sure you have a drill handy because you will need it because some of the holes do not line up. When I opened the box and saw the amount of hardware I immediately requested a return. NO FREE RETURN SHIPPING and an estimated $70-80 return forced me to assemble this nightmare. Stay away!
