Q: I have three pigs. How long 25lb bag can last for them?

I order the 50 pound box and after I hand sort it to remove as much dust and hay that is too small I have about 2- 33 gal plastic bags full of useable hay. I had 2 pigs at the time and it would last almost 4 months. I bed them in hay as well as feed them in a hay rack. I found that I was getting too much waste with Oxbow so I changed suppliers for hay. I still use Oxbow pellets, vitamin C, skin and coat supplement. I only feed orchard grass. I hope this helps!

I usually get mine from chewy. Nice & green, smells good too.

Q: Is this organic? And can it be fed to a baby Sulcata tortoise?

I'm almost certain that the hay blends Timothy hay and orchard grass mix is not organic, although Oxbow does sell organic meadow hay as well. As far as feeding it to a tortoise, I really don't know the answer to that part of the question. Hope it helps a bit!

I am going to rely on my past knowledge here. Most farmers will let the grass, timothy, alfalfa hay cure in the field in rows to be baled when dry. Sometimes they rake it up into piles and leave it loose to finish drying. As far as vitamins in the hay, I only feed Grass to my Guinea pigs with a side of Timothy, You need to be very careful about the calcium in rich hay. Too much can cause bladder and kidney stones. Grass is better for your pigs and their bodies digest it better.
