Perfect
This applies to the B4 Light pad. I bought it for previewing photo negatives and slides before scanning them. The illumination is bright and even--no "dots". I like that the power cable connects to a pigtail so it doesn't protrude and the connector is less likely to fail from fatigue. The power cable is 6' long and adding the length of the pigtail you can be 78" (2 meters) from the USB power port. But, take note--the unit draws 1.5 Amps at full brightness, 3 times what a USB 2.0 port is expected to provide. Many older chargers can't meet that requirement, either. A USB 3.0 or Thunderbolt port can, as well as many other chargers and charging ports on, say, power strips. Read the label--use a magnifying glass if you have to.

Great Deal, and unbeatable quality.
This Light Box is great on all fronts. The adjustable light setting has like 4 levels and with the highest level I think I can probably get a nice facial tan while I am doing work. Very bright! The image quality is off the chain good; I mean really good. As far as functionality goes, the board is easy to operate, easy to set-up, and seems durable. I have only had it a week so time will tell in regards to durability. It is definitely light weight and easy to transport and move around while I am working. I actually don't have any complaints in regards to the light box and I am glad I got it. It is the best light board I have used and definitely the brightest. I would whole heartedly recommend it !

Great alternative for a light table for kids.
I bought this as a light table for my in home childcare. I don’t have room for the large school light tables and wanted something that I could easily put away. This works great. It is a good size so a couple kids can play at a time.

Hands down the best brand if lightpads
HSK so far in my opinion is the best lightpad for it's price. Priced about the same as the artdot loghtpad but much better quality. Thicker and heavier duty it lights up from all around and not just the bottom. Adjustable intensity with the ability to lock the buttons so you don't activate them by mistake. I bought the A1 to replace my A2 which I gave to my sister and my nephew uses an A3. I can say HSK is the only lightpad I'd be interested in ordering.

Nearly Perfect!
This item is almost perfect. It is thin and lightweight and easy to transport with the handy carrying sleeve. The controls are conveniently located and intuitive to use. Setup is easy. You just plug the connector into the AC adapter then into an outlet. There are multiple brightness settings. Unfortunately the harsh blue LED's put too much of a strain on my eyes and I will be returning it. What would make this gadget truly perfect would be to add a light temperature setting. A more yellow light would appear brighter and be less strain on the eyes. Also, a hanging wire on the back of the light would be convenient for those wishing to trace while standing. Other than the light temperature issue, this was exactly what I was looking for. Just another suggestion to buyers. Find the size that you think will be perfect, and then order the next larger size. You will be glad you did.

Excellent feature that most light boards do not have!
The best part of this light board ( I accidentally came upon the feature so listen up)There is a button that actually locks the board when the light is on so if you hit the power button accidentally it won’t turn off while you’re working! I have numerous light boards and none of them has this feature until now.Simply hit the up and down button together while the light is on and the light blinks and it stays on you hit the two buttons together again! Loveeee.

Early impression: great little light table
Executive Summary (TL;DR):For $20 USD, this is a pretty killer deal if you need a light box: it is very slim and lightweight, the metal frame is quite sturdy, the light is bright and adjustable, and you can power it using using regular wall AC or USB power brick.Details:These are my very early impressions having used the light table for about a week, so they may change over time. If they do, I'll post an update.I bought this for tracing: I have photos that I would like to turn into pen and watercolor paintings. It is easy in Adobe Photoshop to open an image, duplicate the image layer, apply the Find Edges filter, then add a Black and White adjustment layer to get a very usable line tracing from the image. Add a Curves adjustment layer to dial in contrast. Voila! a printable line drawing from an image.Thing is, I'm a complete noob at this and my pen and ink skills are still a bit shaky (I was going to say sketchy...). I'm using the light board to trace the more technical parts of the drawing. So far, I've been pretty pleased with the results. Here are the things that I really like about this:- as others have said, the light is quite bright and it is adjustable- it is very slim, lightweight, and easily portable- the version I bought came with a longish power cable and a power adapter, which I appreciate- the two plastic clips don't feel very sturdy, but they work well holding an image and tracing paper to the board- it is possible to "lock" the on/off and light adjustment / dimmer buttons, which are exquisitely sensitive to touch and easy to inadvertently activate (they should have been placed along the top where the user is less likely to brush up against them) - press the Up and Down dimmer buttons at the same time and hold for 3 seconds - the light will blink and the buttons will be locked - do this again to unlock the buttons- it comes with a very lightweight non-woven bag with a carrying handle - it's nothing I would use for transport, but it can be used as a dust cover- you can power it using the USB adapter or just plug it into a USB power brick - I like the flexibilityI will say that if you are using 300 gsm / 140 lb paper - especially cold pressed paper with significant texture - it can be a bit challenging to see detail even at the highest light intensity. I'm guessing that slightly lighter paper (100 lb) with a smooth surface like hot press might work a bit better. You'll definitely want to experiment a bit.I would also say that if you were planning to throw this in a backpack or book bag, you might want to invest in some type of sleeve or carrying case to keep all of the bits and bobs together and keep the screen from getting scratched up.Recommendations:Preliminarily, I can recommend this without hesitation: If you're looking for an inexpensive, reasonably sturdy and bright light box, this is definitely worth considering.
