Q: How long are the 2 hoses (black and grey)? Thanks

I believe the silver hose is 16 feet and the black one is 5 to 8 feet.

Q: What size collection drum is required?

I attached mine to a 5 gallon drywall bucket. If you can find a bucket that's easier to open/close for emptying that would be better yet.

Q: Does this work with drywall dust?

Yes, it works VERY well. However, I bought the Dewalt unit and use it instead because it has its own canister (collection bucket) which is much tougher. My vacuum is so powerful, it caused the Lowe,s blue bucket to cave in. Hope this helps.
