Great product
Ordered this for my son. It arrived fast! It was super easy to install and use. He’s been using it for several days without any hiccups. It seems to be well made. It is compatible and offers stability with our desktop. For the small price tag, it was definitely a good buy!

It fits. It works.
Easy to install and really nothing to configure. The wi-fi transceiver on my old laptop broke. So, I got this external wi-fi adapter in order to keep using the laptop. It's an older laptop, so I don't mind that this adapter works only in the 2.4 GHz frequency. It's a very good replacement and works just as fast as the built-in wi-fi adapter that broke.

Perfect for those older laptops without WiFi!
The TP-Link USB WiFi Adapter (TL-WN725N) is an absolute lifesaver for older laptops without built-in WiFi capability. This tiny yet powerful network adapter has truly transformed my older laptop into a modern and fully connected device, and I can't praise it enough.First and foremost, the ease of installation is a standout feature. It's a simple plug-and-play solution; just plug it into a USB port, install the necessary drivers (which are readily available on the TP-Link website), and you're ready to connect to WiFi networks. It's a hassle-free setup process that even those with limited technical expertise can handle. The compact design of this WiFi adapter is perfect for laptops, especially older ones with limited USB ports. It doesn't protrude from the USB port, so you can leave it plugged in without worrying about it getting in the way or being accidentally knocked off.The N150 wireless technology may not be the fastest, but it provides a reliable and stable connection for everyday internet use. Whether I'm browsing the web, streaming videos, or checking emails, this adapter performs admirably. It's a great solution for basic internet needs. Moreover, the TP-Link brand is known for its quality and reliability, and this WiFi adapter lives up to that reputation. I have peace of mind knowing that my connection is in good hands. The TP-Link USB WiFi Adapter (TL-WN725N) is a fantastic and cost-effective solution for older laptops lacking WiFi capabilities. Its easy installation, compact design, and reliable performance make it an invaluable accessory for those looking to breathe new life into their older laptops. Whether you're a student, professional, or simply someone who wants to stay connected, this WiFi adapter has got you covered. Highly recommended!

Decent - but I've found better out there, at a higher price point.

Still works after going through the wash!
I bought this for my Neptune 3D printer. It worked as expected. I still opted for an Ethernet connection. After the switch, I forgot it in my pocket and ran it through the washer and dryer. Surprisingly, it still works just fine. Now I use it as an upgraded Wi-Fi adapter for my Dell optiplex 3050. It is a night and day improvement, in spite of its size. This thing works great.

PLEASE HELP!!! Only connects IEEE 802.11b... not N
This is what I wrote to tech support:I went to webpage: http://www.realtek.com/ but cannot locate any software for RTL8188EUS. I can only find software for models: RTL8188SU, RTL8188CUS, RTL8188CE, RTL8188CE-VAU and RTL8188RU. I searched the internet for other sources, but cannot find a working Windows 7 compatible driver for that model anywhere.Additionally, I uninstalled the software that came on a CD with the TL-WN725N Wireless N Adapter (150Mbps-version 2.0). Then I downloaded and installed the drivers and utilities from the TP-LINK website you referred me to: http://www.tp-link.com/en/article/?faqid=228. This did not help either; my PC still says that I'm connected to the wi-fi but have no internet access.I can connect to the internet by accessing my mobile hot-spot via the wireless N adapter. I can also access the internet by linking the PC to my smart phone, which is connected to the wi-fi. Additionally I can get a VERY slow internet connection on my computer, through the wireless adapter, if I change the IEEE 802.11b/g/n to IEEE 802.11b. That connection is far too slow to be usable, because it took ten minutes just to start loading a webpage.I have uninstalled the security software and tried turning the Windows firewall off, but this made no difference.________________________________________________________________________________________________________This was her response:Thank you very much for your reply.Based you description, the mobile is working as a hot-spot, something like a wireless router. To be honest,we haven’t test the connection like that before, now it is like a compatibility issue. The IEEE 802.11b is working but not IEEE 802.11b/g/n.For the hot-spot from the phone, do you know how to change the channel it? Would you mind have a try to change the channel?_______________________________________________________________________________________________________QUESTION:The techs response is of no help because I DON'T want to have to use my mobile phone as a hot-spot, that's why I bought this dongle after my wireless card died. I did explain this to the tech rep on the phone, but there was serious language barrier. I have verified that my wireless modem/router is IEEE802.11n / 2.4 GHz (it's a Century Link ZyXEL PK5001Z). I checked the realtek and tp-link webpages the tech referred me to as described above, I uninstalled the security software, tried temporarily turning off the Windows 7 firewall, booted in safe mode with networking, verified that the Pv4 address numbers are within tolerance (192.168.0.132), also the tech went over some other settings with me on the phone. My research hasn't yielded any reason why this wireless adapter shouldn't work with my setup. I've tried all of the obvious fixes with no luck. I think one of my settings is wrong/ needs to be changed; I just don't have the computer know-how to find the problem (and out sourced technical support who don't have command of the English language is worthless) . I really need some help from someone who knows their stuff or who had the same problem. If I don't figure it out soon, I'll have to send this back to Amazon and try a different wireless adapter. If you know a reason why I can't use this adapter, please let me know what adapters will work for me. Thanking anyone fore their help in advance.
