Excellent punches they work wonderfully, the included hammer not so much. The hammer is impractical to use because it is small and doesn't have much weight to drive pins in or out, the size of the hammer makes it hard to strike the punches with accuracy I recommend using a different hammer. I would definitely purchase again.

Decent set, the punches are at true measurement diameter. Hammer is well built. Pretty much the sizes you need!

Everything you need to knock out pins on guns

I purchased these for working on my firearms and have already used the kit to hammer in a few roll pins on a lower build. Everything works as expected and it's very nice to have a complete set with the roll pin starters as well. I did read other people's reviews about certain punches being bent, so I was somewhat reluctant. When my set came in the mail, all of the punches were straight as an arrow with the exception of 1. Ironically it was the size I needed for the forward assist roll pin. It worked just fine, even given that it was not perfectly straight.My final thought is that I'm sure there are very high grade punches out there made out of nicer tool steel that come straight and trued. Those punches are likely much more expensive than this set, probably double or more the cost. For it's intended use, I'm fine with the Wheeler kit and it gets the job done for me. For what it's worth, if you have a vise I'd just press the bent punches in the vise and straighten them out and carry on.

You can't go wrong with Wheeler. This punch set works well for the amateur and the experienced smith. They're nicely presented in a durable storage case. I'm very happy with this choice.

These Wheeler punches far exceeded my expectations. The quality, durability, and design are absolutely excellent. Having the right tool for the job is important and saves a lot of time and trouble and potentially saves damaging your firearm. Driving a roll pin can be a challenge at times. These Wheeler punches work very well, especially with the center guide and that is what matters. And the price was great as well. Highly recommend these to anyone.

If you have roll pins to install or remove please buy this set. The dimples on the ends of the punches keep the punch centered and prevent the punch from sliding off the pin and damaging the pin or part. The installation punches have a recessed pocket to hold the pin and prevents damaging the pin or part it’s being installed into.The roll pins I used this set on were installed very tightly and required a lot of hammering to get out. I certainly would have damaged something if I had used a standard punch.
