Typical USB wifi adapters based on Realtek chips do not work with Linux due to driver issues. This adapter (based on RTL8192EU Realtek WiFi chipset) works out of the box with Arch/Manjaro Linux. initially, i was getting some disconnection problems, but that is because windows has some problems that it can not operate multiple "NIC"s at the same time. if you only use wifi adapter then it will work perfectly, if you install another wifi-adapter or pci card and connect the same time then, wifi gets disabled or disconnect every time. because of multiple gateways.if you use linux then multiple gateways will not be a problem and you are able to use multiple nic at the same time.this adapter has no latest linux kernel support until now, but we will see in the future, but in windows it works perfectly well.

+ This is an ok product with the price tag cheaper than others.+ It works fine with Windows10 OS, you will need to install the driver though. My laptop didn't have CD driver so the driver was downloaded(google the device name and you will get it).+ Once driver installed properly, you'll see Wi-Fi2, incase you already have inbuilt one. I was able to change the adapter to Wi-Fi2 and connect and browse internet.+ The other thing is, it also works on Linux Ubuntu 14.x and Ubuntu 16.x.Some of my challenges with the product are(may not be applicable to all):- Its very hard to plug in and plug out in my laptop USB port.- The laptop gets heated up and there seems lot of processing going on as I plug in. Once or twice I saw the connection drops.- It is not working fine with Virtual box. I have Ubuntu install as guest OS, and USB controller is enabled so the guest can get the device. Now from the guest OS, I can see the wifi SSID's and I can connect to internet. But the problem is it drops the connection after few minutes. Tried multiple times but same problems. Also I am not sure if any device supports this case. Anyways, this was my main need to buy the device, so I returned it and seller refunded my money promptly.thanks

I rec'd one which was not working properly, so exchanged. Remember you can't return. I rec'd another one, which does not have speed beyond 2 mbps.Tired of return.Threw it away.

I have like,6 of these, everytime I get a new,netbook or something that ne ed d wifi. This goes on, small,unobtrusive dont catch on anything and handle my high speed internet.
