The Electric Sermon on the Mount of Bugs
Dateline: A Back Patio, Under the Looming Threat of a Summer Night. The night air should be a source of peace, a cool balm after a long, hot day. But it is not. It is a hunting ground. A thick, humming, whining soup of winged degenerates whose sole purpose in this world is to bite, sting, and generally torment the human race. You can swat, you can spray, but these are acts of desperation. To truly reclaim your territory, you need to set a trap. A brutal, high-voltage, electric chair for bugs.Enter the GOOTOP Bug Zapper. This is not some gentle, sticky trap or polite, scented candle. This is a black, caged instrument of pure, unadulterated electrocution. It is a lantern that promises not gentle light, but swift, crackling judgment. The setup is a thing of beautiful simplicity. You hang it, you plug it in. The deed is done. But here, in the modern age, we can add a layer of sophisticated, remote-controlled cruelty. I have mine wired into a Wyze smart plug, a tiny digital brain that has tethered this primitive death machine to my Alexa ecosystem. I can now sit back in my chair, a cold drink in my hand, and with a simple voice command—"Alexa, summon the lightning"—unleash the blue light of doom upon my backyard. And the light… it is a thing to behold. A hypnotic, otherworldly UV glow that flying insects find utterly, fatally irresistible. They are drawn to it like moths to a flame, a phrase that has never been more appropriate. They flutter in, lured by the promise of some strange, electric paradise. And then you hear it. The sound. The glorious, soul-satisfying CRACK-sizzle-POP!It is the sound of 4200 volts delivering an immediate and uncompromising verdict. A mosquito, a fly, a moth—one moment a whining nuisance, the next a tiny puff of incinerated vapor. It is a savage symphony of retribution, a constant, percussive reminder that your perimeter is secure. It is the perfect companion for a summer night, a brutal but effective guardian against the winged hordes. The value here is immense. For a modest sum, you get a powerful, effective killing machine. And the true genius? The bulb is a common, replaceable size. This isn't some disposable piece of junk destined for the landfill after one season. This instrument of death is built to last. This is more than a bug zapper. It's an essential tool for summer survival. It’s a highly effective, strangely satisfying, and ridiculously affordable way to take back the night. Highly recommended.

Amazing!
I had a terrible mosquito problem in my carport by my entry door to my home and I was starting to feel helpless when a friend recommended getting one of these devices. I was skeptical but decided why not give it a try since I had no other choice. No sitting water anywhere unless they are breeding in stagnant water at my neighbors somehow and coming to the dark corner of my carport. It immediately started visibly working. I set it up and when I cam back outside an hour later there were nowhere near as many bugs at my door. I left for the day and when I returned tonight I could hear the zap noises killing off the bugs while I walled from the car to the door. I am incredibly satisfied already om day one of using this product and I highly recommend. Plus it put off a nice ambient light in the evening. Very effective. Let's see how long it works for. I chose this one in particular since it already had high reviews.

It has significantly reduced the mosquito problem at my home
I live in Arkansas near a national park and a soggy stagnate sometimes natural spring making my yard a breeding ground for very aggressive mosquitoes! They literally hit you in the face! I choked on one! Like a swarm of them! Had this 1 week leave it on 24 /7 and it has made a significant difference. Yes I still have to use Deet based spray and always will but instead f 2 dozen swarming me and my dogs I might have 6. So I do recommend and money well spent!

Works pretty good for me
This has worked pretty good for me. None of the reviews talked about termites so I wasn’t sure if it would work on termites but it does! It killed about 20 termites on the first day and then probably 30 more.I haven’t seen anymore flying or they just got smart and don’t show up in the same place.I know it’s a temporary fix, probably need to get my grandmas house tented soon but for now this has been a savior.I keep this near the sliding door to the backyard where it’s been a problem so kinda indoors which makes me a little nervous bc this looks like an out door equipment. So far working great but I only keep it on for 3 hours at a time bc I want to make sure the zapping of the bug doesn’t accidentally start a fire.I would buy this again

It Works.
It works quite well. We plugged this into an outlet that is about 25 feet equidistant between our deck and our patio, on a hook located 5 feet above the ground. We immediate could hear insects being zapped all evening. Altho' we still had some mosquitoes buzzing around us, this bug zapper made an appreciable difference in the number of bugs & moths bothering us when sitting outside after the sun set. It's easy to use and easy to clean. Highly recommend.

This thing works!
This think was zapping almost immediately when I set it up.I’m in south Florida so we’re in bug heaven. You probably can’t see all the different dead bugs that stuck to it inside, but that’s a lot.Hard to identify them all but I see flies, mosquitoes, moths and little beetles.I know that for mosquitoes you need to run a machine for about a month to break their egg hatching cycle before you see a difference. We will see!The item was super easy to set up just plug in.You’ll definitely need to clean it out periodically due to some bugs getting stuck to the grill, but that’s easy.Looking forward to seeing if we can get a little relief soon as we are entering rainy season.I’ll update later..This item was boxed up well and was received quickly. I may buy another one as well after seeing the results of the first week 😊
