Okay, full honesty—I’m not the most graceful person. I’m always bumping into stuff or accidentally nicking myself in the kitchen, and band-aids are basically a permanent fixture in my life. So when I saw Rapid-Seal Wound Gel, I figured it was worth a try. And wow, I’m so glad I did.Just a few days after it arrived, I cut my finger pretty badly slicing a tomato. Not deep enough for the ER, but definitely deep enough to bleed… a lot. I cleaned it up, put a dab of this gel on it, and I kid you not—it stopped bleeding almost instantly. It formed this light, clear seal over the cut, and I didn’t even need a bandage after a few minutes.It also didn’t sting going on (which I was kind of expecting), and it seemed to keep the area clean and protected. I’ve used it a couple more times since—once on a scraped knuckle and once on my kid’s knee after a playground fall. Same story: it worked fast and helped it heal nicely.Pros:• Actually stops bleeding fast• Doesn’t sting• A little goes a long way• Feels cleaner and more secure than a bandageCons:• You do have to reapply it if you wash the area a lot• The tube is small, but honestly it lastsFinal Thoughts:This is now a must-have in our medicine cabinet, car, and camping bag. Gave 4 stars, that may be slightly gererous? difficult to say due to circumstances. I am on blood thinners so that is the reason for the purchase, cuts while shaving. For me, it does not stop bleeding in seconds or minuits, it does take a while applying and covering with bandaid BUT I must say, it DOES stop the bleeding much faster than it would on its own. Will/do continue to use and will purchase again when I run out.

I’m a retired RN living in a senior apartment building. I have a fully stocked first aid kit to help my friends and neighbors. I saw this item on Amazon (it was new to me) and thought it would be good to have. Someone who was on a blood thinner came to me with a fairly small laceration that wouldn’t stop bleeding. This product worked very well. Will always have it on hand.

This really does stop bleeding. We just got a second tube to keep in our hiking first aid kit. Very useful if you have littles! Because it doesn’t burn. And my son’s hand are constantly dirty, he picks everything up, he eats with his hands. He needs to be able to get back to life when he gets a boo boo. His band aids often fall off so at least if I can seal a sound he’s a little better off.

After cutting my finger (again) while doing something stupid; I tried this product and it just slid off with the blood. Even after drying my finger and reapplying - it did nothing to stop the bleeding. I figure with the cut being on my finger that could have the issue. I will try again.

This works great - after cutting myself I rinsed and wiped with a dry paper towel then put this on top of the cut and waited a few minutes before covering with a bandaidI originally thought I’d get a scar from where I cut myself, but no issues here. Great product!
