I honestly think this is greatIf you YouTube this it gets some hate.... But when you compare it to $200+ interfaces then naturally you're going to get more for what you pay for right? That goes without saying I'd have hoped..I'm a signed pro musician and I used this to record some ideas I had and it did the job nicely.Yes gain needs to be a little higher but so what. I had no issues on the quality of sound at all, software included was easy to install and use, it's light weight, the headphones input is on the front which is nice so design is good, has phantom power source if you need it (I don't)It isn't the best. Obviously it's like $50...you can't complain about quality of sound engineering, tech etc if you're a musician spending $50 on an interface lmao... Be real...When you compare it to its price, it's fantastic, like I honestly feel you're getting more out of this than the money you spent on it. Legit.I own a fancy 4th Gen scarlet 2 blah blah whatever it's called, but this helped me out when I was traveling record a couple great ideas which now have some great promise in production in a studio. I'm thankful for itFor beginners especially, it's ideal, learn on it, audacity etc, without breaking bank on scarlet's etcEven intermediate etc or pros who need a temp solution, it's all round greatI recommend it 100%

I got this to be able to record/monitor my drums and listen to music at the same time and it's inexpensive. Now Im not a professional musician and drumming is not gonna be my main hobby so this seemed to check off all the boxes for me. I plugged it up and it was such a huge step up from what I had. The sound through the monitor quality was so good and latency was zero. Now I plugged up my Bluetooth adapter into the 1/4" line in with a 3.5mm to 1/4" TRS adapter and the audio was absolute garbage.Again, I'm not a pro musician, I'm just a average joe while likes to bang his drums. Thinking it was the adapter, I plugged it into another adapter to hear it from my previous mixer and it sounded just fine. Great, I got a defective unit. So I got a replacement and the same "issue" was present. I realized that I didn't do my research for this and learned that not all 1/4" plugs are built the same. Turns out this only takes MONO TS plugs not STEREO TRS plugs!!So words of wisdom from the worlds okayest drummer, if you get this and want to use a device to play music through the line in, get a 3.5mm to mono TS adapter NOT a stereo TRS adapter.Other than that lesson, it's a great interface!

Works great, is somewhat better quality than the cheap audio interface I had. Good clean sound.

I've been mostly happy with this purchase. I had a fringe use case for this device with using it for a VFIO setup. I know libvirt can make things that function fine in Windows all screwy when in a VM so I went in knowing it might be an issue but ultimately have had it working pretty soundly for about a week. If I run into any other issues I'll update review.Pros:- Great price for a USB DAC with nice built in preamps and XLR out.- I like the design of it. The knobs are not crammed on the front so if you have the room on your desk it's a nice layout.- The preamps specifically are nice because I have a Shure SM7B and wanted to avoid adding on an extra preamp if possible and this DAC boosts enough to not require an additional preamp. It seems like you can run most dynamic mics raw with this mixer and get appropriate levels barring the quietest of whispering.Cons:- Drivers suck. It's been said before in other revuews but holy hell the M-Audio drivers that Windows pushes are terrible. I was getting crackling audio from my speakers and my mic was disconnecting every few minutes when I was using this mixer in my VM. Tried a whole bunch of fixes between switching ports, changing sound virtualization, and fiddling with sample rate and buffer size. Finally figuered I'd just try reinstalling the drivers which I didn't expect to be the problem given the mixer worked fine in baremetal windows. With no drivers installed the mixer worked flawlessly. I don't even.- The control panel is threadbare and the GUI looks half functional between all the options grey-out for any given reason. It's a glorified hotlink to visit their tech support site.- Pre-packaged software and demos is 100% wasted on me. Could be some really good offers for Protools in there but my eyes glaze over when I see this stuff as I just assume it to be demos looking to push a purchase on you. I bought this mixer because I needed a mixer, not because its Protools certified and comes with a trial version of an extra plugin to make farts sound wetter.Overall, the hardware itself is nice and navigating the quirks can give you a nice mixer. It's just navigating the quirks that can turn owners into refunders.

I got the 48kHz/1 XLR input. This requires no software to actually use this but in the User Guide, they do have software you can download for different music-related things, if that's what you got it for. Works with even the most cheap XLR cables you can find (I'm using XLR cables from some old, cheap, and spare 'microphone + boom arm + XLR ' kit). I got this for my Shure MV7 (NOT the +; this came out the model I bought did) and it works perfect with it.There is a slight crackling when you set up and especially when you connect to Discord but it largely goes away with a noise gate software. The design is easy to figure out with some tweaking.
