It works. Sort of a "set it and forget it" product
I purchase or renew this ever one to two years ever since my oldest son recommended it a decade or two ago. Seems to have a small digital footprint, politely runs well in the background and doesn't seem to slow things down the way many of the "big name" products do.I read that Windows bundled security is sufficient but I got used to this and like the extra protection. When it comes close to expiring, Windows lets me know to renew it. Never felt I needed for my Linux machines but I've installed it on my desktop, a couple of laptops, a tablet and soon my phone.I like it.

Great product using for 10 years plus
If you already have a Webroot on your computer all you do is buy this digital model from Amazon within minutes you get a key code you don’t have to hit redeem unless needed to download the whole system first time. Just add your new key code where your old key code is now. Wait until you’re done with your subscription because you get 366 days when you buy Webroot they do not add any days left over

Quiet efficient user friendly computer protection
Very user friendly and easily operates in the background without long scan check times. I like this 100 times better than Norton and McAfee. Norton had extraordinary long scan check times and McAfee drove me nuts with constantly telling me I was at risk for this and that and kept pestering to spend more money for constant upgrades. This new webroot does its job quietly in the background. No extremely long scan check times and no pestering ads to upgrade. Finally a web protection that doesn't drive me insane!!!!

It works, and doesn't slow down our devices
It works seamlessly in the background, and never seems to slow anything down. We've been using Webroot for over 12 years and have never had any malware, virus, or any infection on any computer, laptop, or tablet. Updates are seamless, deep scans take about 2 minutes, routine scans take less than 30 seconds.

Great software, pricing structure needs a complete overhaul.
I've been buying and using Webroot for the better part of a decade now. Seems to provide adequate protection, and doesn't use a ton of resources like McAfee or Norton. Doesn't seem to slow down reboots/logging in like other competitors do. Little bit tricky to figure out how to mark a file as safe once Webroot thinks it's dangerous.Don't think I've ever seen a false positive unlike Windows built-in Defender. Some programmers use kits to develop their software and sometimes those kits have extra modules that can call home, or be used for nefarious purposes (whether they're being utilized or not). Defender will identify those modules and complain about "malware" where Webroot does not. Just be aware of that. If you are worried about malware then run Defender or pick up software that will help protect against malware. My only gripe about Webroot is they have this business model where it's 50% cheaper to buy a new serial number/code than it is to renew a current code for another year. So that forces everyone to keep track of numerous codes, buy enough new codes every year to cover all their PC's, and keep adding new codes all the time. It is an absolute pain. If I can buy a new code for $35 why is the renewal rate MORE expensive at $60? This is a ridiculous business practice. Just keep the current price (or cheaper) to renew. I have over 20 codes in my account and they do nothing for me now that they are expired and you cannot clear them out so as time goes on your account gets riddled with excess codes.

A patch work of various failed products
Is it Webroot? Is it Carbonite? Is it LastPass Password? When you install security software on your Android phone after you've created an account on a computer, I expected to just enter the newly created account log-in/password? Nope, you have to create another account as the two software's (PC and Android) do not share the same log-in. Should you trust a security app that ONLY allows a nine charater letters/numbers only passwords (no special characters)? Welcome back to 1999. The first action I took after finding out I was stuck with this NO REFUND PURCHASE was to turn off the auto renewal as this company knows most will never pay full price, and they hope to steal a pricey auto renew from your credit card in a year. DONT WALK, RUN AWAY.

Always Protected!
Always protected when I use WebRoot Security. I have saved so much money by avoiding unnecessary IT Support for my home computers and other wireless devices.
