ok well first off impression is a very cheasy helmet, its very light and feels dinky. after i set it up and got to welding i was very impressed. it senses the welds at any angle/amperage and has a god sized screen with comfortable head gear, stays up as needed, and can still flip down when needed. all thats left is how long will it last? we'll see! but very good so far for the money. lightness is nice

The media could not be loaded.  I see why this is an Amazon’s choice! I’ve always wanted an auto darkening helmet but just dealt with the “flip”. Finally decided it was time to get one and couldn’t be happier with this one. I have no idea if the ones that cost $240 are better, but this works great and has all the adjustments you could need, at least for me being an amateur welder fixing my own stuff. You can adjust the amount of dimming, the speed at which it darkens, and the duration after you stop the arc that it returns to light. And the directions are clear and precise. So far I’ve used it to tune up my welding skills and do numerous small equipment repairs. A great value for sure!

just got it it seems to work well using it for auto body repair welding, home small jobs, and welding art. saves your eyes from intense brightness. just welded for an hour no complaints, auto dimming works well. happy so far. a few people said it was light and thin, but that's easier than a heavy helmet.

I was very satisfied with the overall clarity and comfort of the band and viewing lens. Puddle welding decking all day and this thing is really light so don’t fatigue quickly. Great buy for the money.A** up- hood down

Arrived quickly. Very light weight. Head piece was a little warped and didn’t feel real comfortable, but I think it will straighten out eventually. The auto darkening was exactly as advertised. Over all good helmet for the price.

Received this yesterday, put in a 10 hour shift with it today. Light weight and comfortable. Had zero issues using it to weld at 225-300 amps, functioned perfectly. Sensitivity is very adjustable and 4 sensors mean no missed arc. The only downside would be the headgear. It's comfortable, but a bit flimsy. Not sure how long it will hold up but it's not a big deal to replace. All and all an excellent hood for the price.

This helmet was set up and ready to go right out of the box. I only had to adjust the headband to fit, verify that I had the correct shade and sensitivity settings and go! The grind mode feature is very nice. My only, very nitpicky suggestion, is that the grind mode switch by a little bigger. It’s hard to move it back and forth with bulky welding gloves on. But that’s no reason not to buy this helmet. I love it!
