My regular fiber not available. Tried a substitute. Physillium fiber drove down my cholesterol. Bring it back.

I tried them for about a month or so, started with 1 tablet a day then in a week to 10 days I moved to 2 tablets per day and I am not going to say it was a waste of my money but they are for sure too good to be true. Instead of going to the bathroom 1 per day with some issues (like feeling bloated all the time) I was now going to the bathroom1 every 2 days but feeling less bloated and less discomfort, hence, why I am only giving it 3 stars.I mean, I am an educated consumer, I should have known better than only fiber can really regulate your digestive system and not a miracle capsule but, like most of us, I was hoping for that miracle cure w/o the sacrifice and well, it isn't coming.

I, like quite a few people, was having trouble sourcing affordable Citrucel for a while. I checked the active ingredient and dosage on the Equate caplets and, since they were the same, assumed I'd get the same performance.After weeks of miserable bloating where I swelled up like a balloon and felt very, very uncomfortable in my own skin, I thought, "Maybe it's the caplets," and switched to Sunmark caplets. I felt a little better taking the Sunmark ones, but decided to try dissolvable Benefiber. When I went to the store to buy Benefiber, I found Citrucel caplets on the shelf and bought those! Within a day of switching back, I was feeling much better and less bloated.My doctors have suggested that I might have Irritable Bowel Syndrome. The Equate methylcellulose caplets might be OK for people with other conditions, but if you have IBS, I'd suggest only trying them as a last resort.

There was a lot of powder from the ground up pills.

I have diarrhea from taking Metformin. For most people, it goes away after a few weeks. Mine is chronic. Fiber makes my feces solid. It has been a major life change for me.
